Jim Luce declared East Asian Studies – Japan (Literature) his major during his freshman fall quarter at The College of Wooster. He went on to spend three semesters in Tokyo and Morioka, and then returned to Tokyo upon his graduation to look for a job. Unsuccessful, her moved to New York and accepted a position with Daiwa Bank in Japanese. He returns as often as he can, for example speaking on the need for world peace at a conference in Hiroshima.
