Art Projects Empowering Children in Conflict Zones

New York, N.Y.  As a socially conscious organization, each show at Rogue Space | Chelsea supports our art projects empowering children in conflict zones around the world through their humanitarian wing Rogue Foundation.

Each project brings art supplies to children in need, giving them an opportunity to create, to express, to share and to heal.  Their works are exhibited at Rogue Space | Chelsea and all funds are returned build and equip schools and further their ongoing education and development.

Every child experiences their creative act having the positive outcome of an exhibition of their painting in Chelsea, New York and an active hand in their ongoing education.

I Am Nepal

October 24 Rogue will bring art supplies to the children of Nepal, working with the Mother and Children Foundation in Thamel and with the children of Artudio in Dolakha for two weeks of painting workshops.  An exhibition of the children's work is planned for December.

Coming up in 2016 "I Am Madagascar."

Haruko Fujii is a very unique painter whose combines a style of calligraphy and oil painting to create a spiritual world. She is a master in calligraphy who uses the meaning of the shapes of Japanese symbols in her work. The exhibition presents 42 artworks, full of nostalgic feelings and historical quality, reunited by a free technique of colorization.

Teruko OTAKE began to walk the road of being a doctor during the turmoil of World War II. Now days, 70 years after the war, she still continues to contribute to the health for communities.She uses art to heal people in a spiritual way. Healing through art is still a deep subject for her, that she studies very hard in different ways of expression.
