Four Reasons to Ditch the iPhone for Android

New York, N.Y. Recently there has been a wealth of new phones released into the market, including the iPhone 6 and 6S, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, HTC M9, LG G4, and more. Each release comes with its own debate – which is better?

With some users being die-hard Apple fans and others preferring Android, there really is no right or wrong choice to make when it comes to choosing a new phone as it’s all down to personal preference and making sure that you select something that is right for you. If you’re considering ditching your iPhone for an Android model, here are some supporting reasons.

Spoilt for Choice

When it comes to Android phones, there’s a lot more choice available than with Apple. iPhones are the only phones which use iOS, yet with Android you have a whole wealth of handsets and models to choose from. Samsung, Sony, LG, Motorola, HTC and more all use the Android OS, giving you a bigger variety of different phones to choose from. Whereas with iPhones you’re limited to specific specs, by choosing Android you’re widening the field to give you more choice of specifications for your new phone.

Customisation and Locking

One of the things which draws many Apple users towards Android phones is the range of customisation options available. If you have an iPhone there is little that you can do to customise it to your own taste and preferences, however with Android phones, you can get different themes and even make your home screen look completely different to the way it was when you first got the phone. You can customise colours, and it’s easier to download ringtones and message alerts onto your phone so that you can customise the sounds. iPhones also lock to the first network that you use it on, meaning you’ll need to pay for a service from www.unlockingsmart.co.uk . Android phones, however, tend to come unlocked.

Widgets

If you’ve owned an iPhone, you’ll know it can be frustrating to have to scroll through all of your apps every time you want to find a certain one. With Android phones you can use widgets that are displayed on the first few homepages as shortcuts to certain apps to make this easier for you. Widgets can just be a simple shortcut to a favourite app, or you can even get interactive widgets such as a music player, custom clock, or event countdown.

Expandable Memory

Even Apple fans have their reservations when it comes to the lack of expandable memory available on iPhones. Although Apple users are provided with the use of iCloud to back up photos and documents, storing your items online is not the same as being able to keep them on your phone through the use of a removable memory card. The newer models of iPhone start at 16GB, with older models as little as 8GB. The new 126GB iPhone 6 and 6S were released in 2015, but the prices rise with the memory space. With Android phones you don’t have this problem – simply buy a Micro SD card and increase the space in your phone.
