UNMISS Marks Day of the African Child

New York, N.Y. To commemorate the Day of the African Child, UN Radio Miraya, run by the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), gave children the airwaves, allowing students to co-host as radio announcers.

The broadcast started with the usual “you are listening to Radio Miraya, voice of Peace” tagline for the UN radio. The children, who came from different schools in Juba, started their broadcast early in the morning with the breakfast show, a two hour program. They also read the news.

Para conmemorar el Dia de los niños en Africa, UN Radio Miraya, gestionada da UN Mission en Sur Sudan (UNMISS), dio a los niños las ondas para que los estudiantes pudieran convertirse en co-conductores de modo que pudieran aser los radio anuncios.

La transmisiòn empezo como usual diciendo "estas escuchando Radio Miraya, la voz de la Paz" eslogan de la UN radio. Los niños vienen de diferentes escuelas de Juba, empezaron la transmisiòn temprano en la mañana con el show de el desayuno, un programa de dos horas. Ellos tambièn han lèido las noticias.
