Students Unite Friday for Climate Change Day of Action

New York, N.Y. The first ever “ KNOW TOMORROW Day of Action”—a major national movement that will unite thousands of college students, activists, politicians, corporations and celebrities to take action on climate change—will take place on Friday, October 2 at colleges and universities across the nation.
Through collaboration from The Climate Reality Project and the non-profit organization Cool Globes, Inc., the KNOW TOMORROW Day of Action will help focus existing student efforts and synchronize the millennials’ voices already demanding action on climate change.
This student-led initiative spanning more than fifty colleges and universities will harness the power of students—from red states, blue states and swing states—to push their leadership to make informed decisions now to shape a better tomorrow and add their voices to the hundreds of thousands worldwide demanding strong emissions reductions commitments from their leaders at the Paris climate negotiations.
The Day of Action features an array of diverse and notable partners from Ben and Jerry’s, to Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey, to Vampire Diary’s star Ian Somerhalder, to artist Shepard Fairey, all to help bring awareness to the coordinated day of action.
